Collection: Kim Gross

In 2004, Kim took her first ceramics class and fell in love with clay. Since that time, Kim has attended workshops,
taken more classes, and has read everything she can about clay. In 2011, Kim left her career as a research assistant to pursue art full time.

Her work can be described as functional sculptures; she specializes in hand built, one-of-a-kind pieces. Kim draws her inspiration for the natural work and its transformative capabilities. Her work reflects a sense of movement and change, and she tries to capture the colors, shapes, patterns and textures that she observes in rocks, plants, and water patterns.

Kim lives in a log cabin in the Superior National Forest near Virginia, MN.
