Kellie Rae Theiss studied art at the University of Nebraska and also took part in an art academy in Florence, Italy. Kellie currently lives in Minnesota as a working artist; the Northwoods is her studio. She has had many roles in the arts-- she has been an educator, and owner of her own gallery. Kellie’s compositions express a reverence for nature, she has dedicated her life to observing and painting nature. Her paintings are rendered with layers of careful detail and a dash of surrealism. Kellie tries to convey to the viewer how beautiful, yet fragile and brief, are creatures she paints and their physical world.
